Kobe Bryant scored 25 points, Pau Gasol had 24 points and eight rebounds and the Los Angeles Lakers beat Memphis 115-98 on Saturday night, extending the Grizzlies’ losing streak to 12 games. Derek Fisher scored 14 points for Los Angeles, and Lamar Odom added 13 as the Lakers won for the sixth time in the last seven games.

Tony Parker prevailed in a clash of All-Star point guards, scoring 25 points and stretching San Antonio’s division lead over Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets in a 106-93 win Saturday night. Paul, who scored 38, will start ahead of Parker for the Western Conference at the All-Star game in two weeks, and he had the kind of game that showed why.

Lakers C Bynum suffers sprained knee (AP)

Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum left the game against the Memphis Grizzlies in the first quarter Saturday night with a sprained right knee. Lakers officials said X-rays were negative and further tests will be done Sunday in New York. The Lakers play the Knicks on Monday night. The injury occurred at about the 7-minute mark of the first quarter under the Lakers’ basket.

Perry rallies to take one-stroke lead at FBC Open

After erasing a four-stroke deficit in five holes, Kenny Perry wanted to be alone atop the FBR Open leaderboard. All it took was a 33-foot putt on the 18th hole Saturday. When the putt dropped into the cup, it brought a roar from the massive TPC Scottsdale gallery and gave Perry a one-stroke lead over Scott Piercy through three rounds.
