Manny Ramirez needed only five plate appearances before hitting his first post-drug suspension home run. It wasn't enough to help Los Angeles overcome 22-year-old rookie Everth Cabrera's three RBIs and brilliant defense as the San Diego Padres beat the Dodgers 7-4 on Saturday. Ramirez homered in his second game back from his 50-game suspension for violating baseball's drug policy.

Manny Ramirez's first home run since returning from a 50-game drug suspension wasn't enough to help Los Angeles overcome Everth Cabrera's three RBIs as the San Diego Padres beat the Dodgers 7-4 on Saturday. Ramirez homered in his second game and fifth plate appearance back. It was his seventh homer of the season and 534th of his career, tying Jimmie Foxx for 16th on the all-time list.

Hitting stride at 50, Allen in contention at AT&T (AP)

With a lifetime record of 0-for-336 on the PGA Tour, Michael Allen is certainly due. Allen put himself into contention at the AT&T National on Saturday with a third-round 65. He was at 9-under 201 for the tournament, only one shot behind leaders Tiger Woods and Anthony Kim. "I've worked hard at my game for 20 years now, 25 years," Allen said.
